Titanic Studios Belfast

One of Europe’s largest film studios, attracting producers such as HBO, Universal and Playtone, the set has welcomed international productions including ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Your Highness’ and ‘City of Ember’.

Cushendun

This is where Melisandre (The Red Woman) gave birth to her ‘shadow baby’ along the Antrim Coast in an area portrayed as the Stormlands.

Dark Hedges

The Dark hedges is the King’s Road which led Ned Stark to his death and Arya Stark away from King’s Landing. This is a hidden road on the way to Bushmills.

Ballycastle

This amazing coastal town has been used as the Free Cities where Varys was born.

Ballintoy Harbour

This beautiful fishing town is featured as the Iron Islands and is where Theon meets his long lost sister before riding to the Greyjoy home.

Larrybane & Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge

This is depicted in the TV show as Renly Baratheon’s camp.

Castle Ward

Featured as Winterfell, this National Trust property had sheds and barns remodelled to take on a Game of Thrones look and the farmyard was transformed.

Tollymore Forest Park

North of Winterfell, fans will recognise the woodland where Nightwalkers were spotted and the Direwolf pups were found.

Inch Abbey

This medieval building was used as the set for the Riverlands scenes, where Robb Stark’s army wait at the Trident to cross.

Downhill Strand

Melisandre burned the old gods on Dragonstone, otherwise known as Downhill Strand in County Derry, a scenic beach dominated by the elegant 18th century ruins of Mussenden Temple.

Binevenagh

On the edge of the Antrim plateau, Binevenagh boasts panoramic views stretching for miles. The location was chosen for the Dothraki Sea far above the city of Meereen, where Daenerys is rescued by her dragon Drogon and brought to his lair.
